A woman was unable to spend the last moments with her dying father after an opportunistic thief stole her car.
As Sarah-Jane Field got out of her car to close a barrier at her work in Coventry a man jumped in and drove off.
Her bag and mobile phone were among items taken which led to her missing a call telling her that her 80-year-old father was dying. He died alone.
Ms Field said she had written an open letter appealing to the thief to think about his actions.
In her letter, Ms Field, from Brownhills in Staffordshire, replica watches said the culprit, who struck on 17 November, had stolen her chance to say goodbye to her seriously ill father.
She said she hoped her message would be heard by the thief or someone who knows him.
"My car, handbag, purse, personal documents, replica Gucci handbags sat-nav and the few Christmas presents in the boot can all be replaced.
"What you can't have known is that I was on my way to visit my dad who was in a semi-coma.
"By the time I got home after dealing with the police it was late.
"I rang dad's care home the following morning to be told that he had passed away the night before at 10pm."
She said her father's carers' could not reach her as they only had her mobile number.
"What you stole from me was my last goodbye to replica Chanel handbags my dad - my insurance doesn't cover this.
"This also meant that my dad passed away alone without any family with him.
"I have to live with this for the rest of my life and now you do, too."
West Midlands Police said officers in Coventry were investigating the theft of a gold Renault Megane last Wednesday.
